Electronics

This system combines our own unique Piezo based pickup with
an EPAL preamp. Because the pickup has such a high output
level we have taken a minimum electronics, class A approach,
using fets instead of integrated circuits with no voltage gain. On
board control is by a concentric pot with volume and tone
conveniently located to the player’s left of the neck, allowing
easy adjustment while playing.

Controls:
Volume (inner knob): The centre position is the nominal playing
level, turning to full will give an increase of approx 6dB.
Tone (outer knob): From the centre position
– turning clockwise is a treble boost
– turning anti clockwise is a treble cut/bass boost
Power: 9V battery – located on the end of the instrument (to the
right of the end pin) allowing ready access
Output jack: located on the side of the lower left bout.
Output/sensitivity: 50k ohms
