Construction

Materials: wood neck and carbon fibre/wood body

The high strength to weight ratio of carbon fibre means the instrument is lighter, louder and more responsive than the all-wood equivalent.

Finishes: Epoch Instruments use the latest hi-tech, durable two-pack finish. The VME violin has a total matching full gloss finish.

Electronics

This is a passive instrument with Epoch’s unique piezo based pickup
embedded in the treble sound post.
