A quartet of Professional Series instruments – CP4 cello, LP4 viola and two VP4 violins. The CP4 and LP4 are built using the latest in carbon fibre/wood construction giving a great sound combined with a light weight and increased strength. The Epoch Quartet is ideal for schools and working quartets where the versatility of acoustic and/or electric is needed.

Construction:

Violins – all wood neck and body.
Cello and viola – wood neck and carbon fibre/wood body.

Pearl: White, Yellow, Calypso Blue, Burn’t Orange, Black, Red
Effect: Marble and Chameleon
Custom colours and effects can be supplied to order.

Finishes:
Epoch Instruments use the latest hi-tech, durable two-pack finish. All ‘Professional Series’ instruments have a total matching full gloss finish

Electronics

These instrument are fitted with the unique Piezo based pickups and EPA preamps developed by Epoch. Because the pickups have such a high output level Epoch has taken a minimum electronics, class A approach, using fets instead of integrated circuits with no voltage gain.

Controls:

 

 

 Volume (inner knob): The centre position is the
nominal playing level, turning to full will give an increase of approx 6dB.
Tone (outer knob): From the centre position –
turning clockwise is a treble boost
turning anti clockwise is a treble cut/bass boost		 Volume, bass, treble, phase switch and
indicator, on/off switch and power indicator.
Control Panel: On the side, 25mm to the players left of the neck On the side, to the players right of the neck
Power: 9V battery – located on the end of the instrument (to the right of the end pin). 9v battery – located on bottom of the instrument (to the players right of the end pin)
Output jack: located on the side of the lower left bout. Bottom rear
Min Rec Load Imp.: 50k ohms 50k ohms
